1. Who we are

Vexbit (“Vexbit”, “we”, “us”) is a software company based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. We operate the website vexbit.au and publish the Regift mobile application (“Regift”, the “App”), an anonymous marketplace for selling, swapping, and donating unopened gifts.

2. Information we collect on the vexbit.au website

The website is informational. We do not require an account and we do not run third-party advertising. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and reliability.

3. Information we collect in the Regift app

Account information: when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, depending on your settings, your name and email address. Your email and real name are never shown to other users — other users only see an anonymous alias.

Listings and content: photos, titles, descriptions, prices, and general location labels you attach to a listing; messages you exchange with other users; offers you make or receive; and reviews you leave.

Location: if you grant permission, we use your device location to suggest safe public meetup spots (such as police stations, parks, and libraries) near you. Location is used for that request and is not stored as a movement history.

Delivery details: if you choose courier delivery, we collect the pickup and drop-off addresses you enter. Addresses are shared only with the courier service — never with the other party to a trade.

Identity verification: verification is performed by an independent third-party identity service. Vexbit receives only the outcome (verified or not) — we do not receive or store your identity documents.

Device data: a push notification token (so we can notify you about messages, offers, and deliveries) and basic diagnostic logs needed to keep the service reliable.

4. How we use information

To operate the marketplace: publish listings, deliver messages and offers, arrange courier deliveries, and suggest safe meetup locations.

To keep the community safe: verify that users are real people, display verified badges, act on reports, and enforce blocks between users.

To communicate with you: service notifications (new messages, offer updates, delivery status) and responses to support requests.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your content for third-party advertising.

5. Anonymity by design

Regift is built so that buyers and sellers never see each other's real identity. Other users see only your anonymous alias and, if you are verified, a verified badge. Your name, email address, precise location, and delivery addresses are never displayed to other users.

6. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Regift: Microsoft Azure (hosting, storage, messaging, and push notifications), Apple and Google (sign-in), an independent identity verification provider (user verification), a courier service (optional deliveries), and OpenStreetMap (safe meetup location data). Each provider receives only the information needed to perform its function and is bound by its own privacy terms.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete individual listings at any time from the App.

To delete your account and associated personal data, email vexbit.ai@gmail.com from the address linked to your account with the subject “Delete my Regift account”. We will remove your profile, listings, messages, offers, and device tokens within 30 days, except where a record must be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, and access is restricted to what the service needs to operate. No system is perfectly secure, so please use unique credentials with your Apple or Google account and report any concern to us immediately.

9. Children

Regift and vexbit.au are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Subject to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other applicable laws (including the GDPR where it applies), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw permissions (such as location access) in your device settings at any time. Contact vexbit.ai@gmail.com to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website and the App evolve. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page, and the effective date below will be updated.
